Forgotten: A Fine Art Photography Collection
The “Forgotten” fine art photography collection was a labor of love. I thought up the concept one night while I was supposed to be sleeping. Isn’t that when we all do our best work? I could see the photos in my mind, exactly the way I wanted them, and I knew if I could get everything to come together that they would make a powerful collection. I set out to make it happen.
It took me over a month to find the right rabbit for the photos. Then I had to scout and find the locations that I wanted to use for the shots. I already had a couple in mind, but had to find the rest. Once that was accomplished, I had to get the photos just right so they would show the emotions I wanted portrayed.
I showed the first two photos to a friend and asked her what they “said” to her. What did she see in the photos? She said that she saw the loneliness and sadness of the shots, which made me very happy. I was getting my vision across in the photographs. My brother also said the photos showed what I wanted them to. I thank both my friend, Rissa, and my brother, CW, for their help during this process. I bugged them a lot.
My husband got the concept right away when I explained it to him. He even helped me pick the right rabbit. We have printed out two of the photos and bought frames already to hang in our house. I was glad he liked them well enough to do that. He is one of my biggest fans and I appreciate all the help and support he gives me with my photography.
I hope y’all like the photos as well. This is my first foray into fine art photography and I really enjoyed it. There is satisfaction in having a vision and seeing it come to completion, especially when it turns out exactly the way you wanted. Thank you for visiting my gallery.
